Bill Whittle

A MUST WATCH, “The Lynching”.

For those who don’t know him (and you should), Bill Whittle is an incredibly bright journalist from out west that does short, news-related videos and commentary via PJ TV (www.pjtv.com).  His show is called Afterburner.  He’s soft-spoken and quite intelligent.  He is also a bit more of a moderate in many regards, so his often mindful and sympathetic approach to situations and events is much more applicable to the common American than something you would find on a channel that falls to the right loudly like Fox News, or is borderline-Communist like MSNBC.

His video “The Lynching” is starting to hit Twitter and is getting pushed around at a decent rate, and let me tell you– this is an absolute must watch.  Piece by piece, he tears down the arguments being made by the Trayvon Martin faithful, and his analyses of Martin’s character goes a long way in showing just how much those with blinders on are manipulating facts and ignoring blaring truths.  From supporters, to protesters, to the media, to celebrities, to politicians, and beyond– everyone is straight up concocting a situation that is likely a complete 180-degree turn fro the truth.

The only one being “lynched” here is George Zimmerman.  Nonetheless, I started my discussions about the trial by noting that I really wasn’t all that interested in it.  I also added that from a first glance and a quick review of the initial findings about a year ago, I was kind of “in the middle”– as in I had no strong opinion of either Zimmerman or Martin.  Really, I just didn’t care that much.

But this video tells a lot about a Trayvon Martin that the prosecution fought so hard to hide.  As always, I am prefacing this by saying that in an ideal world, no one would have been killed that night, but having spent the last two weeks or so hearing nothing but ridiculousness coming from the #JusticeForTrayvon contingent, I am now a lot less likely to have sympathy for a punk kid that got what was very likely coming to him anyway.

But watch the video, some of it may shock you.

On a kind-of related note, I saw an article earlier today noting that in Florida, the age of “maturity” from a legal standpoint is 18.  As such, Trayvon’s parents can and should be held accountable for his actions.  What was proven in court points to Trayvon Martin being the aggressor in this situation (again, a guy on the neighborhood watch asking someone to identify themselves and state what they were up to is not aggression), and as such, shouldn’t George Zimmerman consider suing Martin’s parents for the anguish this will undoubtedly cause him for the rest of his life?

An interesting thought…perhaps best suited for another post altogether at a later date.
